Terms of Use

If the Vietnamese and English versions differ, the Vietnamese version prevails.

These terms apply when you use the JiSpeak app (“JiSpeak”, “the service”), developed and provided by the individual developer Duc Nguyen Tien (Vietnam) (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using JiSpeak you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

1. The service

JiSpeak is an iPhone app for practising spoken English with an AI tutor. It includes real-time voice conversations, topic suggestions, post-session reports in Vietnamese, history and replay, practice streaks and reminders. JiSpeak is a practice tool. It is not an accredited course and does not issue certificates or official level assessments.

2. AI can make mistakes

The tutor, transcripts and reports are generated by artificial intelligence (Google Gemini). The AI can mishear, misunderstand, give inaccurate explanations or produce unsuitable content. Treat its output as practice suggestions and use your own judgement before relying on it for anything important.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google. You must be at least 13 years old to use JiSpeak. You are responsible for keeping your device and sign-in account secure.

4. Acceptable use

When using JiSpeak you must not:

  • Use the service for anything unlawful, or to produce harassing, hateful, sexual or harmful content.
  • Record or include other people’s voices in a practice session without their consent.
  • Try to bypass quotas, or interfere with, probe, overload or gain unauthorised access to JiSpeak systems.
  • Use automated tools, resell the service or use it for anything other than personal practice.
  • Reverse engineer or copy the app, except where the law allows.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

5. Free plan, Pro plan and quotas

  • Free: 10 minutes of speaking per day for the first 7 days after you create your account, then 5 minutes per day. Days follow your time zone.
  • Pro: 149,000₫ per month or 999,000₫ per year; 300 minutes of speaking per month, up to 15 minutes per session.
  • Time is counted while a session is running. When you reach your quota the current session ends. Unused minutes do not carry over to the next day or month.
  • We may change quotas or prices in the future. Price changes to an active subscription are notified by Apple under App Store rules.

6. Subscriptions through Apple

  • Pro is purchased and charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You manage and cancel the subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. After cancelling, Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies; we cannot issue refunds directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Deleting your JiSpeak account does not cancel your Apple subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

7. Your content

You keep your rights in your voice and the content you create. You allow us to process that content (including sending it to processors such as the Google Gemini API) only to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Cài đặt (Settings) → Xóa tài khoản (Delete account). See what is deleted on the Delete your account page.

9. Changes and interruptions

We may update, change or discontinue parts of the service. The service depends on external providers and network connections, so it may be interrupted or paused (for example for maintenance or cost control).

10. Limitation of liability

JiSpeak is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service or AI-generated content. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for JiSpeak in the 12 months before the event. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights that cannot be excluded under Vietnamese law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Disputes will first be resolved by negotiation; failing that, by a competent court in Vietnam.

12. Changes to these terms

If these terms change we will update the effective date above. Continuing to use JiSpeak after that date means you accept the new terms.
